2019 is proving to be an exceptionally busy year at Electro Discharge, following the move to new premises in Cradley Heath. Immediately following the initial move of plant and personnel, we have increased capacity by investing in 4 new wire EDM machines and a new Trumpf 7040 - 5 axis laser cutting machine.

The addition of a Trumpf 7040 - 5 axis laser cutting machine is a massive boost for the company and further extends our scope within the industry.
Improved productivity and extra capacity is leading to shorter lead times for our customers. Increased productivity that includes the same high-quality standards that the company constantly strive for and achieve.
5 axis laser cutting machines produce anything from large batch automotive work through to high tolerance one off parts.
Improvements over other CNC tools include:
- Faster process times.
- A better surface finish can be obtained by moving the tool tangentially about the surface.
- More complex parts can be manufactured, particularly parts with curved holes.
- Higher quality parts. What once required multiple setups now can be executed in a few if not one, reducing steps and decreasing the opportunity for error.
